Technical strategy development
GIC keeps a continuous watch on the latest developments in the technology for the development, publishing and distribution of games both for retail and network release, and we have written reports on such technology for several clients.
We bring a commercial understanding of the business models and trends that games development tools, middleware and network technology companies use to find and exploit their markets, and we're in frequent contact with such companies, having formally surveyed a number of them over the years.
We maintain a database of games tools and middleware vendors and solutions. While we are not technicians by training, we have an excellent level of understanding of games technology and when necessary have called upon specialist practitioners to bring a deeper technical dimension to our consultancy.
We have provided the following to our clients in this area:
• Games tools, middleware and network technology market analysis
• Games technology company profiles
• Games technology due diligence and IP valuation (partly via contractors)
• Games technology IP audit, valuation and exploitation strategy
• Games technology company market surveys
• Games technology strategy formulation and partner identification
